Here is the vocabulary from the carnival podcast:

Fastnacht - Shove Tuesday (the Tuesday before Lent)
Rosenmontag – the Monday before Lent
Wegzoll – a toll charged by children on minor roads by holding a rope across them
Luftschlange – (paper) streamer
Maskenball – masked ball
Girlande – paper chain
Maultasche – large pasta ravioli-like pockets filled with meat and spinach
Müllauto – dustcart, garbage truck
Faschingsmuffel – someone who doesn’t celebrate Carnival
Alles ist erlaubt – anything goes (lit. everything is allowed)
